STYLING THE AMERICAN APPAREL DOUBLE U NECK LONG SLEEVE MINI DRESS

I picked up THIS green American Apparel mini long sleeve dress last March on a whim to wear out on St. Patricks Day.  I left finding an outfit to the last minute, and when I realized I had nothing green to wear, I sprinted to the mall.  This green dress in American Apparel was the only thing I could find.  I normally stay away from tight all over dresses, but I was desperate, and purchased the dress thinking I would only wear it once.  I was WRONG.  This dress is so versatile, I layer it under skirts, under tops, wear it with jeans, everything.  Because of how often I wear the Green one, I have sinced picked it up in black and in cranberry.  Today, I thought I would show you a few of my favorite ways to style this dress:
Dress: american apparel
shoes: Aldo
Clutch: H&M
Necklace: borrowed from a friend

This is how i would style the dress for a typical night on the town... yes its cute, but being so short and tight, not practical for everyday.

Vest: Urban Outfitters
Headband: American Apparel
Purse: bought in Israel
Shoes: David's shoes
This is how I would style this dress to go to a causal bar or maybe a party... It's still dressy, but way more causal than wearing the dress alone

Denim: American Eagle (so random but I love this shirt!)
Faux fur vest: Topshop
Clutch: H&M
Oxfords: Steve Madden
I would probably wear this outfit to school - yes it is dressy but I like to dress up
Vest: topshop
Necklace: Zara
Boots: Hunter
Bag: H&M
Skirt: Topshop
This is another outfit I would wear to school or to hang out with friends in
Blazer: Talula
Necklace: Forever 21
Jeans: Hollister
Loafers: Zara
This is a pretty basic outfit, but just shows how versatile this dress is!!

Sweater: Forever 21
Chain: Aldo
Boots: thrifted

Wearing the dress as a skirt.... I would wear this outfit anywhere
Pants: JCREW
Boots: Nine West
Beaded Cardigan: Thrifted

Last outfit....another causal one with jeans, wearing the dress as a bodysuit

Wanted to get a close up of the detail on this piece... it is all beaded, and one of the most unique pieces in my closet. I never used to want to go thrifting, but nowadays some of my most valued and favourite pieces come from the thriftstore.

Thats all for now, as you can see this dress is beyond versatile! If anyone is debating buying it, go for it.  I wear it all the time, and was totally worth the money I spent on it - cost per wear.

XOXO, L
